Default 8800 replacing typed words

Please Login to Remove!

I've noticed recently that when I'm typing an email or a note and I use the word 'a', the 8800 will replace it with 'on on'.

Instead of:

I need a location.

the blackberry changes it before my eyes to...

I need on on location.

Has anyone seen this before? I've searched the forum and found nothing.

Go to Options > Languages. Change your Language Input Method back to English. It probably says Catalla or Afrikaans?

Also, while there, you can disable the ALT ENTER shortcut which changes your language input method. That is likely how it got mixed up.

Good luck.

Default Got it

The thing was set to Catala.

THANKS!

The shortcut was set to 'no'. That means the BB may have been like this since my company handed it to me. I wonder how many emails I've sent out with that spelling error.
