I must have hit some key and now when I try and type letters I only get symbols. Thanks for any help.

Try pulling the battery to reset your device... .

At the top right hand corner of your screen are there any icons like NUM or 123?
If so, simple press the alt key till that icon goes away.

My models is the new 8800 from AT+T. I just tried pulling the battery, no luck. There are no numbers or letters in the upper corner of the screen.

Exactly what symbols is it typing?

Has your BB gotten wet?

I am trying to enter a new address on my contact list. When I go to type a name, the letters appear to be Greek. I can go to the browser and the keyboard works fine.

The BB did not get wet.

Had to go back to setup and reset language to English. Thanks for the ideas.
