Default Email notification randomly stops working?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys,

Im running into a bit of a strange problem. I have an 8820 and a BES server set up. Everything had been working fine, and then one day about a week ago, email notification stopped working properly. I was still receiving email just fine, but the blackberry would not notify me regardless of what profile I used and regardless of what options I set in the profile (tone, vibrate, vibrate+tone). I finally got frustrated enough with it that I did a factory reset, reassigned the device in BES, and everything was working fine again. That is, until today. The same thing happened again. Im still receiving emails, but im not getting any vibration/tone notification. Ive tried selecting every profile. Ive tried changing the options from tone to vibrate and vice versa. No matter what I set, it doesnt seem to want to notify me any longer.

I tried a few searches but wasnt able to find anyone else that had this problem. Has anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Cool Profiles changed!

Your profiles changed and you must go and unmute them. I had the same issues after the upgrade to 4.2.2.176

Thanks for the reply, mrjerome. Can you elaborate a little? Ive looked at every option in the profiles and the volume option isnt set to mute. Is there somewhere else I should look to unmute things?

Appears to be caused by using the desktop manager. A wipe clears up the problem but as soon as I use desktop manager to do anything, the symptoms reappear.

Lightbulb Your Backups Corrupted

Maybe your backups are corrupted or have the bad info in them. Personally I use Desktop 4.3 and it is much better because you can specify what you want restored back to the BB.
