I just happen to click on the Blackberry Help link on the browser homepage on my 8830, and when you scroll down to the maps & GPS section, there is a link for Telenav with a offer to try the trial, is this just a general page that has that option for the Sprint 8830 users who have GPS available?

Telenav works fine on the Verizon 8830, but only with an external bluetooth GPS receiver. Telenav cannot use the VZW8830 internal GPS. Currently, the VZW8830 internal GPS receiver is reserved for VZnavigator.
