Default What systems will an 8700 C work on

Please Login to Remove!

Sorry for the thread as it is probably answered here but I am selling my 8700 C and the buyer needs an answer quickly.

What systems will an 8700 C work on. It is unlocked and was on Cingular / ATT. I know the technology is different between carriers but do not know the details. I am pretty sure T-Mobile is out, right??

Again, please forgive the "unsearched " question but I am hoping for a quick reply so I can e-mail the buyer back.

Going to FAQ's right now....

John

I would think the 8700c would work on T-Mobile as long as it is unlocked. I would think any GSM carrier would work.

Is T-mobile a GSM carrier? That is the thing - I need to know for sure so I can answer the buyer and sell the BB.

Thanks...still searching also...

yes, the 8700c from ATT will work absolutely on TMo, and any GSM carrier.
If unlocked.

Thanks JSanders, I really appreciate the help from both of you. I now can feel confident that I can sell the phone to someone and not screw them.
