While on the phone, the call goes silent periodically. This started around the same time that I upgraded to OS 4.2, but it is easy to blame the OS. Basically, I'll be on a call and the other person will be talking and I catch pieces of the sentence, and the same for the other person.

I know that it is not a reception issue. Has anyone else experienced this?

Make sure you have no other apps running while on a call. This happens to me (on OS 4.1) if a call comes in while Mapquest Navigator is running. Seems like a CPU load issue.
