This I will definetly take you up on, getting a "backup device". I had a old 7290 in the basement and some family came up for Thanksgiving a couple of weeks back and they were going through my stuff as family does, saw it and they wanted it. So not knowing that my 8800 was about to meet its maker, and the space that I could gain from getting it out of my house, I gave it away.
I know its a 7290, but damn I missed that device this past weekend when my 8800 went belly up
It was a slow death for my poor8800, with a barrage of emails coming in, reminders going off left and right from my todoMatrix, SMS messages coming in, I just sat and watched the 8800 over the course of the last few days slowly drain away until the device decided to shut itself off for the last time. It was sad
, it was like losing family, but oh well life goes on
haha. Heck, by the time the 8800 finally croaked (took forever), I had my trusty 8700 on standby ready for a sim swap and I was off to the races once again
