Hello all!

I am new to the blackberry world. I have some setup questions, so any help would be appreciated.

I tried to set up my email, I click where it said to click for new users. I agreed to everything and got the response that "an account already exists for this PIN. Please try again"

I bought this 7250 phone used off of ebay. I so far have followed the instruction on this site for wiping it clean for a new start using the JL_Cmder and re-loaded all applications.

How can I get the already set up account deleted. My goal would be to get my two Gmail email accounts and my one Yahoo email account set up to notify me on this BB as soon as the emails are available. (is this what I understand the push is?)

Contact original owner to get pin released or contact provider explain that you purchased BB off ofebay and need the old account nullified thur allowing you to use the bb

ok, I thought I was out of the water, but nope, not yet.

I set up three emails, one Yahoo, two Gmail. I can send emails from them but I don't get emails on my BB. I get them online with my pc, but not on the blackberry.

Do i need to set up IMAP with google and yahoo? I also read something about setting up a free blackberry email address and that would be what notifies me. Is that what I need to do?

It turns out I am getting my emails delivered on my BB. There is significant lag time. Emails showed up anywhere from 26 minutes after they were sent to 3 hours and 36 minutes after.

I am sure there has to be a better way. Anybody?

I think I will keep this short, I feel like I am having a conversation with myself.

I made one of the gmail accounts connect with the IMAP, following the directions on the Gmail page for blackberrys. I sent separate emails to both gmail accounts and the IMAP one came well before the other.

But now I get email dumps from the account on IMAP. 60 emails and they are the same as the previous batch I deleted. It happened twice. I have not looked yet, but I think it is the same emails that I have not yet archived on the gmail site.

any ideas? I guess I thought this would be easier. I am learning how to trouble shoot.

It works, all three accounts!! I even got emails that i deleted on my BB to delete the emails on yahoo and gmail.

What I did was:

remove all three accounts. Set up the email option on the blackberry. Then set up the three accounts all over again, but this time everything worked out great! I am not sure why, but I think it was the setting up the of the kberry first that got it all going.
