Default sync'g to 2 calendars

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,
My wife has just received an 8830 on Bell from her work.
They run BES, so her work calendar sync's wirelessly. However we are also trying to sync our home calendar via DM.

I go to setup the sync and it tells me that I can't sync because the device is set to sync wirelessly.
Can this be done, and done so that the work calander won't pick up the home calendar entries and vise-versa.
I did setup her BIS account to check home e-mail but calendar is not on the home mail server.

Thanks

Hmm.. I'm taking the silence as not good news.. :(
I've gone through the FAQ's and searched the forums.. I've found lots of questions about separating e-mail from BES & BIS account. But nothing about sync'g a home desktop calendar with a BB setup for BES in the office.

I even thought about reinstalling DM and configuring it for desktop redirector, but I think that would mess me up. I also use the same calendar and I'm setup for BIS.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Thanks.

dstaff,

Here's a thought, just thinking out loud here. My girlfriend has a Treo and I the 8830 BIS Sprint. I sync with Gcal using ************* and she sync as well so we are both kept up today with it set to sync every three hours.

So, I am thinking you could import your calendar to Gcal and have both of you sync to that...............I don't see why it shouldn't work. But I don't have BES to test it with. Anyone else want to chime in?

Hi Jhhart...

This sounds like a possibility...
I was hoping to not do it OTA for me.. I've only got a 4MB data plan.. but it is still worth investigating...

Will this keep entries separate from her work calendar, or will all the home calendar events end up in her work calendar? That could be an issue...

Thanks
Dean

Ok then, just a little change then........

You sync to Outlook using DM and have your outlook setup to sync to Gcal over your internet connection. Your wife would be the only one to sync OTA.
