Unhappy 8700c Trouble with data service

I live in Dominican Republic and Im with ORANGE...

1. I ordered a Data Service and they activated it yesterday... But the cellphone still has the DATA CONNECTION REFUSED message on homescreen...

2. Another thing... I cant see the browser in my BB... When I use the APPLOADER it says, under browser dependencies, that its needed the xml library and another thing I cant remember now...

Help!

Did you order a BB dataplan? If so, the carrier needs to provision the account and push the service books to you. Once that happens, the BB Browser will show up.

Oops,,, not exactly a BB dataplan,,,, they offer a data service that, by the way, used to work a few months ago with another cellphone with browser....

Dont they use the same protocol for connections?

No, they don't. You will need to have a BlackBerry Data Plan in order to use the Browser.
