Default new bb 8700g user. bugs w/ 4.2.1.107

Please Login to Remove!

i just got a 8700g.

i upgraded the firm ware to 4.2.1.107 via tmobile.com

im currently using the today theme

when i get a new text message, under the "messages" category, if i click on the actual message and read it and then go back to the home screen, the message will still show under "messages". but if i view the message by going to message indirectly, the message wont show under the message category anymore.

if i turn off my phone and pull out the battery, the message problem will be fixed.

is this a known problem?

also i do not use the bb data plan but i noticed after i upgraded firmware, i get a lot of emails sent to my personal email by "network" and it says in the subject not to del it because thats how data is being transferred.

will the 4.2.1.180 fix this?

Don't know about the today theme problem. I don't use it. Did a little searching and didn't find anything, but that doesn't mean it isn't a bug, as you describe. But how are you getting email on the blackberry without a blackberry data plan, anyway?

About that network message to you personal email account, see this: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...tml#post752686. Is that what you did when you installed desktop manager? If so, follow penquin's directions.
