Default c-h2 extended battery in 8820?

Does anyone know if the C-H2 extended life battery would work with the 8820? It fits and it is 3.7V but I did not know if batteries had any special electronics that would require compatibility. thanks.

Default c-h2 does NOT work with 8820

I ended up trying the C-H2 battery on the 8820 and it does not work - it comes up with a invalid battery icon. Guess I will sell the C-H2 (which is made for a 8700c) cheap!
