The Gmail app worked great with my first 8800. I have a new one and I'm getting an odd problem. I can log into the app and open mail, but when I try to respond or compose new mail, I get booted out and it tells me that it doesn't recognize my password or user name.

What is up with this? Do I have a setting that is wrong?

The GMail app??? As in, the shortcut icon to go to the GMail website? If so, why don't you set up BIS for your Gmail account so it is pushed to your device? That's what I've done for my msn, gmail, and work email accounts. I had the GMail quick icon on my menu screen for a day, until it was rendered redundant by BIS.

This sounds like a situation that warrants an uninstall and re-install. Have you tried that? My currently-installed version is 1.5.1. It comes with the rather large red and white rectangular envelope icon.

How did you set up your Gmail with BIS? I tried, but whenever I send out an e-mail with my gmail account, I get the message sent back to me exactly as I sent it out. What am I doing wrong?
