Default Standby Mode?

Please Login to Remove!

New to my BB 8830. Still in learning curve. The unit goes into what I'm calling "standby mode" after being on for a count of 4-6 seconds. The screen goes to black and I need to touch the trackball to activate the screen again. Is there a setting somewhere that I can adjust this?
TIA.

Thank you! I set it to 1 minute...hopefully that gets rid of that little issue.

That's a fact. However, I think that's different than what he was asking.

My wife says "standby" when she really wants to ignore me for a while.

I'm OK with it.
