chrip? chripped?

I believe Nextel will require a Data Plan, pull the SIM and replace it, see what happens.

Put your sim back in your 880 after you copy your contacts to your blackberry and keep that card out of your 7100i.

Call TS and set the phone up with the sim that came in it.

Check for reviews online before asking....like those on cnet.com or google 7100i tether.

But to answer your question, no. You cannot tether the 7100i to a computer. You can get a Data Plan and use the browser installed on the device.

Anyone, if I'm wrong, please correct me.

Based on google search results of 7100i tether. Found people with 7100t that made it work, but not 7100i. Here's post from these forums:

Like I said, if I'm wrong then that's okay. But based off my research, I'm saying it can't. But I'm no BB expert.

Good.,.. just asking you to back it up or if you had personal knowledge.

Some say they have gotten the 7100i to work using mobishark. Using BlackBerry As Modem - BlackBerryFAQ

Yes I saw that, but another forum I read a person found it was horribly slow, I guess it's a crap shoot either way.

The internet connection with the mobishark is maddeningly slow by todays standards. I have mobishark $49.95, I wasted my money on this device. It takes five minutes for it to load my comcast homepage on my laptop. That is when it is successful. It takes about ten minutes to get the damn thing connected to the web on start up. With a VZW Aircard the homepage will load in about three seconds or less.

I should have listened to the reports I read and put the $49.99 towards a true phone to modem interface, like a 8100 or 8800 series.

BY the way I was looking at a friends 8130 today on alltel and it has broadband speed, and is much faster than my 7100i on nextel/sprint. Does anyone want to comment on that?
