Hi

I was wondering if it was possible to add or remove items on the main menu.

For example, i would like to have a direct link to my address book instead of going first into the "applications" menu.

I'm sure it can be possible, there is like enough place to add some items.

Yes, you should be able to move your Address Book from the Application folder to the Homescreen. Click on the Address Book icon, press menu > Move > and scroll that icon up to the folder icon.

Also, there are wonderful homescreen shortcuts... such as tapping 'A' to bring your Address Book up...
