Default new blackberry user, very, very confused...

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all!

I'm new to the blackberry community and was wondering if I could get my emails forwarded to my blackberry as a text message? I don't have a data package, so I was wondering if it were possible to just get my e-mails as SMS text messages?

Thanks!!

You could setup an autoforward in your mailbox to send them to your BB as an email. If you go to the TMobile website you can see what your BB's sms email address is. However, each message will come as 6 sms messages. It's a little messy. Why not just get the $9.99 email only BB plan?

Welcome to the board, I am also new with BB's.

Waiting for mine to come in the mail, hopefully soon so I can put those good reviews to test.

Why buy a BB if you don't need the functions of the data plan? Like using an aluminum baseball bat to kill flies.

It's the truth, Sure a BlackBerry makes a killer phone. But just like using an aluminum baseball bat to kill fies. It's overkill. Without the data plan what does a BB do that the free phone you get for signing a contract couldn't do?
