Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys I just signed up on the forum. I just bought a used BB7100 and all I got was the phone and charger. Now I seen this thing for some desktop software how would I get this is there a software online that I can download to get it so I can connect my phone to my computer? Also I have a motorola H500 (I think) bluetooth headset and it will NOT pair with my BB. Anyone with ANY info I would appriciate it a lot. Also is there anyway to upgrade my software on my phone?
Thank You
Dan

Welcome to the group, Dan. Desktop Manager is the application used to sync BB PIM with PIM application on PC, backup the blackberry and other things. You can download from blackberry website. The blackberryfaq.com site will give you download links and other useful info.

I don't know about the headset question. Maybe someone else can help you out there.

If the charger is the type that has a usb cable that plugs into it you can use that same cable.

What OS is on the phone now? Look in Options >About. It should say 4.x.x.xxx.

4.1.0.377 is the latest for the 7100/7105 series devices. Use the link below and find a copy of that (doesn't matter which carrier it comes from as long as it's for the 7100 or 7105 and it's from a GSM carrier.

How do I upgrade the OS on my BlackBerry? - BlackBerryFAQ

Upgrading the OS takes twop pieces of software. One is the Dekstop Manager that I linked a few posts up. But you also need to download and install the handheld OS package to your PC in order to load it to the BB.
