8800 - Desktop Manager sync problem

My 8800 (on BIS) suddenly started having desktop sync problems. It connects with my laptop through the Desktop Manager, but when I ask it to synchronize (calendar and address book entries) with my Office 2007, Desktop Manager says "Unable to complete request". I am however able to perform a back-up. I pulled the 8800's battery - didn't solve the problem. What's next ? Could this be linked with a MS Office update or is there another plausible reason ?

My guess is the MSO update. DM is very reliable. A BB doesn't just break

"Solved" problem
Sort of solved the problem by wiping all data, deleting all Outlook calendar entries without location data and starting afresh.

I came across a blackberry update for functionality between the BlackBerry, and the 2007 calendar. I got the link for it on these forums, it shows up as "2007 Update Calendar BD patch" in my Blackberry, you try installing it if the problem comes back, you should be able to search the forums for it, I have 8830 from VZW.
