Yeah, unfortunately the 8830 'helps you out' and keeps you from putting simple passwords. By the time I enter a 4-character password, and submit it I might as well just learn the new key sequence.
I'm not too worried about someone stealing it. My system admin can remotely kill the unit through the BES if I ever think I lost it. Fortunately I never had to do that with my 7250!
