Default auto-key lock

Let me know if I should just check the FAQs...but I did, and didn't see this discussed.

Is there any way to get my 8700g to auto-key lock? :/

thanks!!!

Kind of....You can do a couple of things.

1 - Set a password on your device (Options -> Security Options -> General Settings). You then have to enter a password to unlock/use the device.

2 - Disable 'dial from home screen' (Phone icon -> Options -> General Options) and you can then press the K key from the homescreen to lock the keyboard. Then you just have to press 'Unlock' to use the device again.

There's also this app. I think it will work on the 8700 if you have OS 4.2.

It will also auto-lock if you keep it in a holster/pouch/case equipped with a "sleeper" magnet. You need to set Options/Security Options/General Settings/Lock Handheld Upon Holstering to Yes.
