Any way around the NY times "blackberry page"? Id like to see the BB load the full web version of the site. It some how knows your using a BB and gives a reduced content format. I tried switching browser emulators to Windows IE and it doesn't wok.

I've seen similar question come up over past weeks, particular over last few days. So far haven't seen solution, except that opera mini may work. Don't know. If you find a solution to the auto redirect to mobile page, give an update.

OM does display the pages more 'correctly' although nothing like it would on your PC.

Does opera mini indeed avoid those redirects to mobile page?----- I guess I ought to just try it and see. Too lazy.

Just downloaded opera mini and tried with delta.com. Still got redirect to mobile page. Didn't try NYT (personal bias) so don't know.

And just tried wsj.com and it didn't redirect to mobile. So, looks like it depends.

Try OM, zaakir, and see what it does for you.

some sites consider opera mini a 'mobile' browser..... I wish they didn't.... that's the point of opera mini!

i dont know about the nytimes website but I know that I've had success getting the full versions of other sites on my bb by playing around with the emulation mode of my bb browser. for example, there is an option to have the bb browser emulate ms IE, and then there is also an option called content mode which you could set to HTML only if you wished.

this should make sites load their default, not mobile versions. you can access all of this in the options menu of the bb browser
