Default Application questions 8700C

Just purchased an unlocked 8700 C for use as a world phone and using a Mobal Communications Sim card.

I do not want to get a per month contract - and Mobal is a pay as you go.

So here is the question:

I sync my outlook which is great for calendar and address book - I do not want email BUT my Ipaq also syncs to-do's and notes - is there a "text editor" or note pad for the 8700 ( running 4.2.xxxx)

How bout a free PDF reader??

Excel or Word viewer and can you store small files on the puppy. I thought Beamberry would work but since I don;t connect to a server can I upload these txt or excell or word files and use it???

There is a Memo app on the BB, just like in Outlook, which syncs to the Outlook Memo app.

Try Dynoplex for the PDFs and docs. Not free, but without a data connection, you gotta make a trade off somewhere, you can't have it all free and no data.

Oopps. nevermind, just noticed you have 8700. Not much room to store anything on it, and no Media Card. You can get OS 4.2 and move some things via USB. But not much, you will eat up the already valuable memory space.
