Default wireless calendar sync on 7230

Please Login to Remove!

using a BEZ with Notes 5.5. some calendar entries entered in notes calendar show up on my 7230 calendar with the wrong time zone (casablanca time) - where it pulled that from is anybodys guess. notes and the 7230 are all defaulted to eastern standard time. anyone know why this is happening?

What we tell our users is to go to Calendar --> Options, then turn the Wirelss Sync Off for 30 seconds, then turn it back on.

We've also found where there have been conflict documents due to replication, did you check if you have any of these replciation conflicts in your calender?

You can also switch off wireless sync from the Blackberry Desktop Manager. Click Intellisync and then click on Configure PIM. While calandar is high lightewd you can uncheck it to stop the wireless sync. There are also options in the "choose" button and the advanced setting under the "configure" button to further set up the rules.

I have a 7290 and in the past few days have noticed that when I enter an appointment in Outlook, the TZ for that appointment will be Beijing time however it will display correctly for CST. I tried turning wireless sync off through the Desktop Manager and left it off for 30 secs (after doing a sync to push down the change), and then re-enabled it.

I then entered a test appointment, and when it showed up on the BB it displayed the correct time. However, when I opened it, it was Beijing time. So no change to the behavior.

What gives?

I found the solution, though not the root cause...

I upgraded my BB OS to 4.0.x and everything is working normally now.

Go figure...
