I am wondering how I could go about buying a Sprint 7250? I spoke with Sprint customer service and they told me that I could activate a sprint blackberry through my personal account as long as it was a "sprint serial #'d blackberry," but that I cannot buy the blackberry from them because they sell it to business customers only.
Is there any way for me to buy a 7250 elsewhere / a way to get sprint to sell one to me as a personal customer? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
I've had mine for about two weeks and while the BB works fine, the phone portion has had issues (dropped calls, static, overall poor reception). You'd think it would have similar reception to a phone, but that isn't the case with me thus far in St. Louis.
I have worked long and hard with Sprint over this issue, and I constantly was told that I can not get a Blackberry, and that they would have BB's avalible to consumers in August. Tell me if you get anywhere with them.
P.S. I was so upset at how badly they treated me, I made them give me a $200 discount on any phone that wanted, other then the BB's.
Sounds like might be worth a call to another carrier.
Cingular, Verizon, TMobile, Nextel, and Alltel (some markets) all offer Blackberry service, without the runaround.

If you want a "Sprint 7250", there is no other carrier. :(
I also tried to no avail to get a Sprint Blackberry. Several stores, several managers and several calls to customer service...all I got was the run around. I had been with sprint PCS for about 7 years, now I am with T-Mobile. I am paying less and generally happy with my service.
Sorry that you guys are having problems. I think you have to talk with Business telesales to order the phone - they aren't available in the stores. I think this is a flaw in SPCS's strategy, but I guess you can't be all things to all people. I'm posting with a Sprint 7250 now, and I've had no problems with the phone operation. For my money, the phone and bluetooth operation completely outpace the Treo (my former phone). Good luck finding your 7250...
Good news! I got a 7250 today! For those on Sprint that are non-business and looking to get a blackberry, this is what I did. I called regular CS and asked if I could add a line, and told them I wanted a blackberry. They then sent me to the business channel and the rep told me I could not get one because I did not have a business account. I then asked him if he could at least try to add the line and blackberry to see if it would let him, and it did! He was suprised too, but everything seems to be working great!
Let me know if anyone else has succeeded this way, and the rep also told me another way to possibly do it would be to call CS and tell them you want to change your account to a business account, then order the blackberry, and then change it back. However, I am not sure if that is even possible or if there are any costs involved.
I hope this helps any Sprint customers that are looking to get the 7250!
