every time I choose the option to wipe all of the data from my 7100g it asks me to type in "blackberry" to confirm. I do this with and without the quotes and everytime I push in the trackwheel it tells me the wipe has been cancelled. Am I doing somehting wrong?

that's note cool... I have a 7100G and when I go into SETTING>OPTIONS> SECURITY> CLICK ON TRACKWHEEL. All you have to do is click on trackwheel and then chose "wipe handheld" it doens't actually ask for a password unless you didn't buy your phone from Cingular.

When you click Wipe handheld it ALWAYS asks you to type in the word blackberry to verify that you really want to do it.

I just did it successfully yesterday on a 7100. Make sure (I am not kidding) that "blackBerry" (without quotes) is being spelled right.
