Default Buying used 8830 for VZW

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone. I'm looking to begin my addiction to the world of Blackberry. As of right now it would be easier for me to find a used one since my contract won't be up for a while. I've found someone locally selling a used (1 week old) 8830 for 220. Is that a good price? I'm going to check it out in person before I make a decision. It seems most are generally happy with this handset. my only concern is the keyboard. With the keys all next to each other, does anyone run into issues with accidentally hitting keys? Really, for the time being, thats my only concern. anyone's thoughts are appreciated.

That is a good price. I would do that, according to the condition of the BB.

Read this for tips on buying a used BB:

Good luck, and welcome to the addiction.

yea when I see the blackberry tomorrow, I will call VZW to check the ESN. I always do that when purchasing used phones. Luckily I will be able to check out the 8830 in person (meeting at a public place...can't be too careful).

well, I'm not going to buy it. The seller was getting pushy and was more or less telling me that unless I'm definitely going to buy it, he didn't want to bother meeting with me. Gotta go with my gut on this one......

Do you want the original box/documentation? I have a VZ 8830 just sitting here (Blackberry, Charger, Case, and Battery) not doing anything ... and it's unlocked (got the code from Verizon a few months back).

It's yours if you want. I can take detailed pictures and send them to you. $200 shipped?

Send me an email through the link in my profile here if you're interested.
