Error backing up using Desktop Manager

Wondering if anyone can help me.

I am trying to back up my BB 8830 in order to save my sanity in case something happens. When I try to back up I continuously get this error message:

"Communication Error: The data was not recognized by the device."

Anyone have any idea? I tried reinstalling desktop manager by no luck.
