I am having trouble deciding if I got a crap phone (I love the 8800; I just mean the one I have might be garbage) or if I just havent got the hang of it.

Yesterday while texting, I hit the scroll ball and it sent such great messages as 'go'. I never did get through the Wizard because it kept changing pages to fast with the scroll ball. I figured it must take some getting use too.

Now today the keyboard isn't working right. The scroll ball is working easier but I can't click anything. Cant type anything.

Did I somehow key lock my phone or is it just crapped out?

Sounds like you are just having an issue with your phone, did you try pulling the battery and putting it back in?

The battery was the first thing I tried. It fixed one issue but the keyboard is still an issue.

Any other ideas? How do I do a total phone reset??

It really doesn't sound like an OS issue. It sounds like hardware. Do you have the option of returning the device? If so, I would strongly recommend that you do.

I'm pretty sure reloading the OS would do nothing for you, if it is an option I would try returning the Blackberry. you can always try reloading the OS, but I dont think it would help in your situation

that actually sounds like a water damaged device to me. I have seen more keyboard failures because of moisture than anything else. check the indicator on the battery and on the device and let us know what you see. did the red Xs run or is the white sticker now red?
