I've just bought a second hand 8700v and bought a code to allow me to 'un-register it ' from vod*fone. It seems to have worked fine.
I am with O2 and I can make calls on it OK...but certain options seem missing.

there is no option available to 'disable password' but the manual tells me there should be...I think it has been used via the enterprise (administrator)option previously.

the most I can get is 5mins then it locks...also if I put it in its wallet, this happens. I then have to re enter the password...a real pain!

I have considered the useage of JL loader, and wipe it down, but to be honest I'm not sure if thats the right thing to do.

I searched the forum for what I thought may be useful, but remain confused (could be my age ).

Also should i use the OS from O2, if so ,can't find one for 8700v only 8700r...as you can guess by now I desperately need help, so if some one could I'd be really grateful!!

By the way...arn't forums wonderful things!

It has an IT policy on it.

Remove IT policy.
