8830 pairing issue Please excuse the beginer questions but I just shot my Treo and bought an 8830. I love it but I have some learning to do. The 8830 goes into the standby mode when it is in the belt case. If I am in the car with the phone in the case it will not connect with the car. I suspect that the bluetooth is turned off to save power in the standby mode. When I remove it from the case the phone sees the request from the car to pair and asks if I will allow it and then works normally. So I have to have the phone out of the case while in the car. My question is: How do I use my bluetooth headset while in the field or at trade shows if I can't keep the 8830 in the case? That seems a little (lot) odd to me. Maybe there is a setting I haven't learned about yet (I hope). Thanks Chuck |
Have you made this a trusted device for your vehicle. My 8820 works without flaw with the LX570. I am betting yours will too! |

Thanks for the help chuck ....... That did it Greg. I got into the Camry, pressed the start button with my 8830 in the holster and "Bluetooth connection successful" Thanks again. |
