| (UK): T-Mobile BIS ("InstantEmail") 7290: will a 3rd party BES work? Please Login to Remove! Hi guys, I've searched on this but can't find anything conclusive, so was wondering if anyone has managed to achieve what I want to do: basically I recently bought a 7290 on T-Mobile UK, which includes BIS access (referred to as "InstantEmail"). The OS is v4.0.0.215. What I want to do is to use MailStreet as a third party BES. Has anyone managed to do this? There's no mention of enterprise activation anywhere in the menus / settings of the 7290 (well actually I noticed that the EA icon was there in the menu the very first time it was switched on, and then it quickly disappeared once T-Mobile provisioning started over the air).
I've followed MailStreet's setup process to the letter, but can only sync via cable with Outlook (ie it's not using MailStreet's BES, which they tell me they have set up in addition to a basic Exchange account). Wireless syncing isn't happening. Someone suggested that MailStreet need to push a service book, but they have never asked for my pin and there's no mention of that within their documentation.
Has anyone got a "prosumer" model to connect to MailStreet etc. (particularly if you're a UK T-Mobile customer!)? Many thanks. |
