Hi, does anyone know of any software or any way to manage your BB as if it was a Hard Drive? I don't have any Data Service or internet connection on my BB. I basically use it for Aptmnts. and Address Book..So, I now want to add pictures and Other ring tones on my BB. I can do it if I can view my BB as a device on my computer, like c drive only this one will be like a E drive...

Any help would be apprieciated...

If you upgrade your 8700g to OS ver. 4.2, yes, still limited but yes. Your 8700 does not have a Media Card, thus the limited media support. And I would not cram too many pictures and ringtones on there, keeping your free memory above 15-16mb.

Combine with Desktop Manager and then within that, Media Manager.

Otherwise, without a Data Plan on your 8700, it is close to impossible.

There is a third party app called eFile by Dynoplex which gives you limited Windows Explorer-like functions. It comes with its own desktop app. However, as JSanders has correctly observed, be careful not to load too much stuff or you will seriously degrade the performance. eFile works on most BB's, but it is best with OS 4.1 or 4.2
