Its a 7100t with a darker color, bigger send and end buttons, the screen is also a diff type (cant think of the name of it).

They simply are fixing some of the cosmetic gripes that everyone had with the 7100t. I would think that it would be available in the next few months, but don't quote me on that.

final revisions are now in the pipeline and being tested by T-Mobile and RIM. these are production-ready final revisions (meaning that, unless there's a major bug, these will be it). they are still on schedule for an early to mid september release.

i put a bit more info in this thread:
7100 series:What would you change?

i'm not sure if Cingular will be picking it up, but i honestly don't see why they wouldn't... considering all of the 'fixes' they have done to the casing and whatnot, i think it'd be prosumer market suicide if the other carriers did not jump on the bandwagon with the updated handheld revision.

you mean like the phone resetting in the middle of phone calls? *cough cough 7100t...they did a great job testing that one out
