Welcome to the BB Forums!

My first suggestion would be to charge the battery for several hours.

Check back. If you find the battery might be bad, go borrow one at a carrier and see if they will just let you power up to make sure your BB is ok, and that it is simply only a battery issue.

Hi tryed to charge but the 8800 battery didnt want to change so had to use my 8700 to changer the battery. The same happened powers up with the star then powers down and red light comes on and keeps cycling like that. Will have a go at installing the OS if i get chance and see if that works.

Thanks Paul
