Angry major problems with typing/keyboard

Please Login to Remove!

No matter which typing option I use, it seems as though my keyboard is screwed up. For example, I am trying to reply to an email by simply typing the word test. Also, when I press the AS key, the lettler L will come up?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just received my 7100T yesterday morning and spent the morning trying to figure out what was wrong with the keyboard. Although i figured this was "user error" and thought i didn't know how to use it, it became blatantly obvious that my device was defective - the bottom keys do not work (or work for a few minutes at time before "locking up" again).

After an hour with Tmo, they're sending me a new one. Wonder if this could be a bad batch.

Default typing problems

my big problem in typing is the default choice the 7100t sometimes types. for example, when i type the word "are", the word "see" usually comes up. i wonder if there is a way to program the 7100t so that it uses my most likely choice first instead of the default (kind of the way windows allows you to do a quick correct and tell it what the full word should be when you type a letter combination)....

I had the same problem so I created a custom wordlist for the word "see." Now when I want to type the word see in a sentance, all I type are the letters se and the custom wordlist knows I want see and completes the word for me. No more mixing up are and see and not knowing you have used the incorrect word until you have completed the sentance. Hope this helps.
