I ordered and received a new lens for my 8700g. I was thinking that I needed to take the handheld apart and install the lens from the back of the front cover, but looking at the new one - it's adhesive. Do I just peel off the old lens and press on the new? Anybody here done this before?

Asked and answered -- Already covered here, I should have searched before I asked. Yes, it's glued on - a little heat, prying and it's replaced!

Where did you find the 8700 replacement lens? I seem to be able to find the entire housing, but not just the lens.

Please adevise.

I have found them on ebay and will be buying one and hopefully just pressing in a new one without having to take the cover off.
