Default Bes and Bis

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 8830 with Bell Mobility, running on a BES.

I can setup other personnal account from the BIS service of Bell.

But.. all email that i receive is shown in the main "mailbox" on the BB. I see account email in each "icon", but there all duplicated in the main message icon.

is there a way to separate it, like for the SMS?
Thanks

I suggest you read the FAQ as this is covered there.

yes you can separate mutilple e-mail accounts on your BlackBerry whether it is BES and BIS or multiple e-mail accounts. In the Message Screen > click Tracking Wheel into your drop down Menu > Scroll to Options -Select > General Options - Select > Scroll to "SMS And Email Inboxes": Press S - "Separated" > Click Tracking Wheel and Save. Go back to Home Screen and there you will see your e-mail accounts split out.

You can as long as the company's IT Policies permit it. Many companies will not allow personal info to mix with corporate info, especially if they are paying the bill.

This is not correct.
Doing what you suggest will only separate SMS messages from email. It will not separate BES from BIS messages.

You need Empower BES Mailbox... as descibed in the FAQ entry that dubdub linked to earlier in the thread.
That is the only known "solution".

No idea.
You should check with your BES admin.
They may not want/allow you to install any third-party software on your device.

Having both BES and BIS running together will Show All Messages in the Primary Message Inbox. If you have created BIS Accounts for the same handheld, the BIS Service will create new Inboxes for each account created.

froussy - I am not sure exactly what 'corporate side' refers to but as far as I understand, Empower BES MailBox does NOT do anything that you will not like

Click on it, and it just shows you your BES mailbox. Thats all! All native functions like send, reply, fwd, save etc remain untouched. We also offer free Trial on the website so you can install and see it in action.

Best,
Ani.

Im wondering a last thing..
With Empower.. My BES mailbox will be "alone".. if I have 2 email setup from the BIS site of BellMobility, will those 2 be together in the same "mailbox" or there will be separated?

froussy - Each BIS email account already has its own separate icon. So if you have 2 BIS accounts, there will be one icon for each (already separated). With Empower BES MailBox, you will get a similar separate icon for your BES MailBox.

You can actually take a Free trial of the Empower BES mailbox and see it work. Just point your blackberry browser to www.getEmpower.com/ota and test it out yourself!

Thanks!
Ani.

Yes, the key is associated with the PIN. When you change device just drop a line to [email address] and they update your records, generate a new key for you.

Thanks,
Ani.
