Ok I am as close to a Blackberry newbie as you can get.

I got promotion at work today as was thrusted a Blackberry 8800. At first I was like WAHOO! then I thought....ah damn, I can now never be free.

But I have a question that I hope someone maybe able to answer. Firstly our IT team are as useful as a donkey in a horserace, mostly uneducated and the grasp of IT is shocking. I am no techie but I do understand the following.

My Blackberry 8800 runs on T-Mobile (UK) BES. I have access to the work email and limited internet access.

I have set up a personal account using BIS which forwards a copy of my gmail to the balckberry. This works fine, my question is.....Does it cost to use BIS?

T-mobile site has no pricings at all and the gossip down the pub was not helpful so anyone have any idea?

The BIS functionality is included in the BES plan. No extra charge.

Might be good to find out if you have an unlimited plan, though.

Ah but I live in Sweden so I am aware of what sledging comprises of!

Totally loving this Blackberry! How could I have survived before! I had issues with everytime I replied to an email from gmail (on a pc) it was firing a duplicate to my blackberry but created a filter and all is well!

could be what we yanks call a sled. as in sledding on ice? just a guess though. Also, welcome! you may want to update your model from the 8100 to the 8800 in your profile, makes it easier on future posts to recognize what device you have if you dont list it in the post.

Sled would make sense.

We are not accustomed to sledges nor sleds here where we live south of the moss line.
