Interesting idea.
One question - don't these prevent you from using your phone with a holster? The Egrips website states you shouldn't slide the phone when its pressed up against a surface.

Actually, one more question. Are the Egrips durable, and how easy are they to remove later on?
Thanks
Steve

Well, speaking from experience on the 7230, the grips come off very easily and leave no residue (I removed them for the lucky person who received my 7230 when my 7100t arrived). The 7230 still holstered, the grip locations that rubbed on the holster were resistive the first few times but it didnt seem to interfere with anything or cause any problem. I ghetto-cut some generic egrips for my 7100t and it still slides in and out of the crappy holster that came with it.

I cannot overstate how much nicer it is to hold an egrip'd phone. Especially with all the shuttle wheeling you have to do with a blackberry. I found myself dropping the very slippery blackberry prior to egrip'izing it. So its a hand thing, in addition to being able to lay the bberry on your dash and other surface and know that it will stay put. The grips are very inexpensive and come off easily, I encourage everyone to give them a try.

I had shared some experiences as well using them. I use the 7280 with the Egrips and still use the holster, thus far no problem other then a tighter fit in the holster.

If you want a second opinion and a second "GO try them!" check out my mini review http://blackberryforums.com/viewtopi...ghlight=egrips

lol, nah, just giving helpful second opinions ;) They are awesome, I can imagine they'd kick a$$ on the 7100 as well. Seriously a good recommendation for a few bucks, what does someone have to lose? Nadda

I used them on a Palm, a Sony Ericsson T610 a Nokia 6310 and 6600. I love 'em. I'm ordering some again for my 7100t. I cleared 7 days with it, I think its a keeper!

Default What color are 7100t users initially going with?

What color are folks thinking of purchasing for the 7100t?

It's a service to get your phone back if it's lost.

I was going to order a set, but when I saw them I was disappointed. In my opinion they should have had a top piece with a cutout for the power button, a small piece for above the headset/USB connectors, a long tapered piece to go from near the USB port on the left side all the way around, below the keypad, and stopping at the "exit" button on the right side. Then another little top piece for the right side. And a large piece (as they do have) for the battery door.

Maybe I'm just a perfectionist, but it just seems to me like they made half the set. At least if they made a top piece it wouldn't look so lacking.

Default Brass in pocket...

I forwarded the eGrips site to a couple of friends that have cell phones. The first question from one of them I don't believe has been commented on here and that is: Wouldn't these grips make it difficult to put the phone in your pocket?

Keep in mind I'm not merely talking about the 7100t but for cell phones in general. If it is tricky, has anyone come up with a way to accommodate or work around that?

No, egrip'd devices still go in and out of a pocket without a problem. They are extremely thin, designed to grip the device to a hard surface. Again, every single person who has felt my egrip'd device has gone to the egrip site and ordered them for their device. You cannot understand how much better your device stays in your hand (not to mention any surface you set it on) when egrip'd.

No brainer. Order.
