Default Sync with Act

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I am using Act for work and CRM. Is there any software which will enable these two to sync?

Please advise.

CRM= Customer Relationship Manager

I sync ACT with my 8300 using Companionlink. Some people use Handheld Contact which allows you to have your ACT at the office be updated via BB and vise versa. This is good for a company that has someone in the office that will add things to your schedule while you are out.

I do not use HHC because the cost is very high and I do not need the synching because I am self employed an thus the only one who ever changes the appointments etc. I synch when I get back at the end of the day.

Hope that helps

Default using ACT! 2008

I am pulling my hair out trying to find an option for ACT! 2008... I started by installing BB desktop manager 4.3 and it would not even pick up ACT!... I then saw this post and installed desktop manager 4.2 and when I click ACT! Sage the 'OK' button hides as though it cannot see it???

I'm so very frustrated with this... does anyone know how to sync BB with ACT2008 without pusrchasing a piece of software on annual license??

thanks in advance

Thumbs down

Im having the exact same problem, either RIM should find a solution for the Desktop Manager or Sage should add a Link for Blackberry as an additional option just like they did with Pocket PC and Palm.

I don't have the exact situation but do have ACT 2007 and the curve....was told that it would sync but when I tried ACT was not recognized. Found a post about companionlink and all is well....needs a one time $50 fee for the software, but it is worth it as it syncs up just fine.
I too was very disappointed and still am somewhat dissatisfied....as I am with the 'phone portion' of the BB.

Yes just got a BB 8330 and I would like to sync to my Act 2008. Too bad the Act just doesn't include this in their software. I have heard the the Companion Link works. Anyone with an opinion or suggestion of something else?
