The easiest way it to email them to yourself and open and save them.

you just got a blackberry, and the first thing you want to do with it is get pictures on it?

Hey, maybe OP wants to personalize the BB . . . nothing wrong with that . . .

OP, just make sure you don't try to email a megapixel picture . . . try to limit the file size to under 64kb

Default photos to bb

download ascendo photos: which is a demo program and only lasts a few days, but it can give you enough time to get pics onto you bb.
when in ascendo photos, view each pic and save, and this will save each picture to the blackberry photos section...
