Please Login to Remove!

Hello Ladies and Gentleman. I apologize for not looking thjri thousands of replies and postings but I need this kind of quick. Does anyone know if there is a master volume switch on the 8700. I have one of the people I support have serious sound issues. In other words there is no sound on phone or messages. Can someone help me.

can the user hear on the device? if they are in a call does the speaker work? you mention no sound on phone, but is that phone ringing? also, did the user alter the profile to custom tones in any way? if not, try a battery pull for 30 seconds, then put it back in. finally, upgrade/downgrade the OS and see if that clears your issue

There is no "master volume". Answer the questions so we'll know which volume you need, caller speaker, speaker phone, ringing, etc., as Sith expressed.

Default Hio

OK Phone works and you can hear the caller, it does Vibe when a call comes in. In short the ringer or any ringtone does not work.

It could be just a bad speaker, if it is only the external volume that is the issue.

Have you asked the user to make a call, and then place the call on speakerphone? (bottom right hand key (with the $ symbol).

Also, can the user play a ringtone from Profiles, Click to menu, Show Tunes, select one and play?

3rd device and same problem? Were the device working properly when they were turned-over to the user? If so, then user must be doing something to the device he shouldnt be doing....
