Default Listen to email on BB 8830

Please Login to Remove!

Hi - can any pros help me? I'm looking for a program for my BB 8830 that will read/play my email to me so I can not be tempted to read email while driving. I downloaded a program from Handango called "Voice on the Go" but it is too cumbersome.

>It requires me to dial into a their system (read using my phone minutes to read email)

>There can be a delay between when VotG gets an email because of the frequency of when it polls my mail server (like the delay I have on my BB because we are not on a BES). So I see a new email on my BB and when I call VotG it says there are no new email. In a test I had to wait about 10 minutes, and if I were driving I would have just read it!

> It missed an email on my BB during a test.

> Email created/dictated on VotG are not transcribed as in Nuance Voice, but are made into wav files requiring the recipient to play the file.

I am really looking for a simple way to listen to my email on my BB vs read for safety while driving. Responding would be nice but not necessary!

Thanks in advance to you experienced users who might have some suggestions! Seems like this should be a standard feature on mobile devices.

I don't know of one, but have you looked and searched in your Aftermarket Software section here?

There very well could be one, and that would the place the developer would post it.
