Smile Motorola HS850 on BB 7100t

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys!

Just bought myself a Motorola HS850, my first bluetooth headset. Sounds pretty great and the convenience of having a wireless headset. I've just had it with the traditional OEM headset that came with the unit.

to Motorola HS850.

How's the volume with the 850? I have the 810 and it's pretty good in most situations but it is a little low sometimes when I'm outside or in a noisy area.

Seems to be okay. I can adjust the volume through the BlackBerry and it gets louder.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry7100/4.0.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

I was looking at that headset for my 7100 and my nextel 860 but some Motorola headsets say not for use with a BlackBerry ???

Not quite sure about that. One thing I know is, any BT headset will work fine with any BT capable phone.

Works is a matter of opinion. You will find many incompatibilities between various headsets and handsets. While they are all supposed to be made to the same standard, in practice there are enough differences to cause problems. In general the HS850 has not fared very well among those that have tested it including me. See the Bluetooth Headset thread in the Bluetooth section or visit my web site at www.barjohn.com for more info.
