The only option was a com1 or com3. My Computer recognized it as a hard drive but I couldnt open anything. The desktop manager wouldnt recognize it. I dont have the CD for the phone I got the phone from a friend so if anyone kinows where I can download it also.

This is not a case of the DM version. There must be something else.

You say you got it from a friend. Was it on corporate BES? Do you know?
Look at Options > Security > General Settings. What is at the bottom under 'Services' or listed at "Policy Name:"?

Does your BB get the charging symbol at the battery icon on the homescreen when connected via USB?

Have you installed the handheld software? If not, download and install it.

You won't need the handheld OS simply connect via USB, but thanks.
