All, forgive if this is the incorrect place to post this I did a couple of searches first and could not find this anywhere.
I exported contacts from my Palm Desktop software as a .csv file to import to my BB. After configuring Desktop Manager (4.2.2.12) properly, I get the following error when attempting to import the contacts:

Unable to initialize application API.
Verify that the correct application version is loaded.

Any ideas??

Can you import first to Outlook?

I don't use outlook I use Notes Have not tried there as I don't want that address book buggered up. This is a separate set of contacts

OK I could not find anything anywhere about this. As a workaround I imported my contacts into Outlook Express and then loaded them into my BB from there. I still don't understand why it would not accept an ASCII file and will continue my search for an explanation. Nothing bugs me more than something happening and not being able find out the reason!

Were are on a BES here at my work using GroupWise... going from treo to bb has been hell... i have 5 users with treo's who want to go to BB... and they want a seamless transfer of their address book but if you examine the way palm sets up their address book its more dynamic then the bb one.

For example the way palm handles multiple people from the same organization
its kinda like a package like an object with records inside of it

where as from what i can tell the bb address book is flat
