Default 8830 icons?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there,

I have just switched from an 8800 to a VZW 8830 and I see two new icons on the screen that I don't recognize. They are next to each other, the first looks like a gun sight/target and the second is just to the right which are two waves, one smaller and then getting bigger. I am sure this is a dumb question, but what are these? They are in every theme and I have never seen them before on my 8800. Thanks.

Uh, they're at the top of the screen where the time, date, battery power, signal strength etc. is so there is nothing to click on I probably should have explained that, sorry.

I believe the crosshair icon has something to do with emergency GPS location. Not sure about the other one.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

Maybe a quick screenshot will help us identify.

Those icons are for location based services. When they're shown, as in your case, it means that you have location based services enabled on your device.

I have one icon I'm not sure about too - when using the browser, looks like three little boxes in a diagonal row from top left to bottom right. The box in the middle is larger than the other two and the two small ones sort of cover the corners of the big middle box. What is that?
