My enter/action key is stuck.

To date, I have tried to:
- zero it (take out battery)
- remove and clean track wheel
- take apart whole phone and clean, including keyboard

The problem comes and goes & occurs with or without the track wheel in place? I can not see any obstruction or debris in the key board.

What I would love to know is if anyone else has found a fix for this/ or coukd it be a circuit failure on the board somewhere.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. I have combed the forums and tried any fixes I have come across.

I'm having the same problem with my 88xx. It goes crazy on me from time to time. Last night it sent a text message to the same person every minute. Super embarassing. I was gonna try to clean it.. but I guess that wont work either. Helllp Ussss !

How was it sending a message to the same person every minute, was it in a holster, laying on a table, in pocket?

There are good pictures and instructions on removing the trackball to clean, but that won't fix something that sends over and over and over again. Much more than a simple press of the trackball is required to send an SMS.

Well when I fell asleep it was in the SMS and MMS screen so it would hit reply and send on its own. I have it locked now.. but when I enter the menu it'll go crazy from time to time. Its like the buttons are stuck. This happens randomly.. then it'll work perfect again.

that the BB was in the SMS screen doesn't tell much. Was it under you? In your pocket? 20' feet away across the room alone?

1. Pull the battery while it is powered on. Hold for 30 seconds and replace, reboot.

2. Have you had water damage to the BB... Look at the small white sticker in side the battery compartment, above the battery near the Media Card slot. What color is it?
