when i turn on my 7290, it shows the hourglass and then device error 423 and a highlighted reset. When i reset it does the same thing again. Is there anything i can do to atleast get the system up so i can delete and reinstall the handheld software?

Default

Wirelessly posted (8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Have you tried a hard reset? If not, with the blackberry powered on, pull the battery. Wait 30 seconds or more before you replace it. Also do a search on that error and you will likely find it discussed. If you don't find any other ideas, take a look at

Default still trouble

the phone goes into a continual loop and the operating system never comes up. I cannot eve get the USB to recognize the handheld to do a swipe like the proceedure calls for. Is there a way to get this out of the loop so i can erase and reinstall the handhelds software?
